JUNGLE IMMERSION BY THE BEACH
This project revitalized an early 2006 design by Warwick O’brien architects, enhancing its connection to the surrounding coastal environment. Focusing on sustainability and craftsmanship, the refurbishment ensures the space feels both luxurious and in harmony with its beachside setting. The new design respects the original architecture while introducing innovative elements that elevate the home’s functionality. A new jarrah clad entrance stair welcomes visitors, adding warmth and texture while providing a space to stop and reflect under the native pepper tree. Custom-designed lights throughout the space add a unique touch, casting ambient glows that complement the relaxed atmosphere, while a standout jungle wallpaper links the greenery of the re-landscaped interior courtyard to a reconfigured bathroom.
