LEABROOK
Reviving Suburban Elegance
This 1880s villa, extended in the 1980s, underwent a meticulous transformation. We preserved portions of the mezzanine and the staircase while crafting numerous openings in the old masonry to shape the main bathroom and laundry.
Designed by John Adam Architects, the project was an exercise in intricate detailing, demanding exceptional craftsmanship. Stunning timber flooring seamlessly connects the extension to the heritage front of the house, complemented by bespoke timber joinery. In keeping with our signature approach, many items such as joinery, light fixtures, and handrails were meticulously crafted in-house, ensuring a truly unique finish.
Inside, two en-suites and the main bathroom showcase intricate tile work, terrazzo floors, and solid brass countertops, harking back to a bygone era. The kitchen and study joinery feature carcasses adorned with oak, Blackwood veneers, and solid timbers.
In the outdoor realm, our landscaping efforts integrated within an in-situ concrete BBQ bench and sturdy brick seats and paving, add functionality and charm to this suburban oasis.
